Core balances are available in seven models, with capacities ranging from 200g to 5,000g. They offer nine weighing units and are stackable for easy storage and portability, making them ideal for a variety of settings.
The Core operates smoothly and looks sleek, but it's created for utility. The rugged ABS housing withstands harsh environments, and the stainless steel pan is removable, making it easy to clean. Models CQT 202, CQT 251, CQT 601 and CQT 1501 feature removable draft shields, which reduce the impact of air movement on readings, providing more repeatable, accurate results.
Several key safety and security attributes are built into Core balances. The integrated three-point overload ShockProtect® feature safeguards the load cell, so the Core can handle overloads of up to 400 pounds without damage to the weighing mechanisms. To help prevent theft, a built-in security slot on the balance accommodates an optional Kensington-type lock and cable.
Core balances are designed specifically for ease of use and functionality. The straightforward four-button operation includes dual highlighted tare keys, and results are clearly readable on the backlit display. Portability is no problem, as the balance operates by battery or AC adapter, and automatic power-off saves battery life. A convenient weigh-below hook facilitates below-balance weighing for density and specific gravity measurements.
