If you're frequently handling nervous or moving animals, you may want to consider an animal scale with a dynamic weighing function. Dynamic weighing takes the average weight on the pan over a set period of time, like five to ten seconds. Veterinarians should consider using a washdown or waterproof animal scale if there's a high probability that biological fluids or liquids will come in contact with the scale.
